Its time to stop War Incorporated. The movie was horrid, I couldnt stand to watch it because of the filthy language (Im not a prude that cant handle a couple expletives now and then but that movie was ridiculouos).
Cinema comments aside, we got into WWII because it was either do so, or see Europe destroyed. The clear evidence was at the time that it WAS being destroyed, and not onlt in re Germany but Japan also. If we hadnt, Germany would have gotten nuclear technology first, although we didnt know that at the time. They WOULD have if we hadn't takent their scientists...
That was WAR for NATIONAL SURVIVAL.
This is not. The UN Conflicts the US has been in since Korea are not wars, they are UN police actions. WHen did North Korea attack the US? Never.
The war buildup and resorting to taxes to fund the war effort have become a platform for EMPLOYMENT, not National security. NONE of the conflict Nations have ever attacked the US.
Then theres 9-11. The killing of bin Laden was supposed to have been "justice."
I could argue that, except considering:
1.) the constant chain of expensive conflict since Korea
2.) all the perps in 9-11 were vaporized, there was no one left to try. Did ObL have a part in it? Probably. Possibly. Ok, hes dead so were out of there?
No, because OWarmongerer knows the hit to the economy and unemployment if we bring them home, the multiplied losses to the military-industrial State.
Im constantly harping on O-Warmonger not because Im anti war, but Im ANTI HYPOCRITE. I cant find enough expletives and negatives coments for that traitor who spent much of his DNC speech slandering Bush for Iraq when it WAS about WMDs (see the UN MOVIC Iraq documents, link on the Blogs front page) then he ignores the Constitution and attacks Libya and LIES about it...
So people keep being killed. When is it enough? 10 years, pshaw, its been SIXTY and NOT FOR US, but FOR THE UN.
So WHAT if the Taliban want to take over Afghanistan, hows THAT a "US National interest?" Is the US in Afghanistan? Is A. a US State or territory? LET THEM have A. if the people are too lazy or stupid to defend themselves. "Its their party and they can cry if they want to..."
"National " means, or should mean, a direct CONTINENTAL (territorial) threat to US security, NOT some projected need as a result of US Corporations wanting to do buiness in A. or any other turd world hell hole. Let them have their hell hole and eat it too.
We need to pull back to a more isolationist position not that its about isolationism, but its about 'were not under attack'. We need to go back to Marshall- pre WWII.
But if we do so, then US corporations cant go globe trotting and forcing their way into every crack in the world where theres profit to be made and THATS the sum of the matter. Read the Africa Intelligencer..
We have more than enough energy resources in oil, gas and nuclear to power ourselves, tell the rest of the world to go jump. Iran, Iraq and Saudis dont like us? Fine, screw them. No more trade. We got our OWN oil.
And speaking of WWII we need to tell Russia and China to STFU and hold WWII over THEIR heads, WE saved their sorry asses from German and Japanese Imperialism (China was already partly there). See what WE got for helping those bastards out? We should have let Japan HAVE THEM, then deal with the security and logistics and financial nightmares that come with being over-extended in war.

Its time to pull back, secure the borders AND International waters. Vaporize anything that dares cross without paperwork. Electrified Mexican border fence.
