Security on the internet is the key question here. This is a website with no connection to DOL deceiving people into thinking they are inputting personal data (PII personally identifiable information) into a DOL computer system

Not only is that a deceptive website, but it exposes Citizens to Identity Theft.

How? Simple - a website other than DOL got sensitive PII.

DOLS WEBSITE IS ALSO INSECURE, and they are not telling you. Or the Citizen using the 'official DOL site' who falsely believes it is secure.

I have software to detect how many websites are connected to my computer, and from what websites, when I connect to a site like DOL.(or any site)

I arranged my computer tonight to connect to only the DOL site and nothing else, through an ordinary internet Browser.

When I was into the DOL supposedly "secure site' where (if the renewal page was up and running, and it isnt tonite) I , as a Citizen attempting to send sensitive PII to DOL, would assume that only DOL could 'see' or receive that info.

My software tells me that this is not the case, that while I was connected to what most people would assume is a 'secure page' that SEVEN other websites were connected to my browser session in addition to DOLs secure site known as "fortress"

The result of that is that someone at ANY of those seven sites could, if they wanted to, take simple steps to see anything I typed into my browser, into the DOLs renewal page and again, this is SENSITIVE PII.

The DOL page is grossly insecure, which is why I NEVER use such pages.

Id be glad to meet with one of your Reporters to demonstrate to them (preferrably when the DOL renewal page is up and running) proof of these connections.

And, you ask, what websites connected to this supposedly 'secure session; that the Citizen is NOT TOLD ABOUT?

 Last week, I ordered merchandise off the internet. My computer is set up to block the parasites like Google and Facebook from connecting to my computer.

 Until you get software like McAfee that has a connection monitor, you dont realize how many of these parasites connect to, and follow your computer across the 'net. And they STAY connected till  the browser is closed.

While going through the pages to do this order and present a credit card for payment, I noticed three or four persistent websites, Google bering one of them, that wanted to connect.

 TO CONNECT TO A SECURE ORDER PROCESS? DONT try and tell me THAT isnt up to no good.

Heres the trick, set your computers date back and use an old version of Netscape 9. What this does is causes a security warning when the browser is presented a security certificate by the website wanting to connect, the browser detects a date conflict and stops loading, and presents a warning screen. Hit <escape> to deny permission to that server to connect.

Also, close the browser between sites for more security.

NS 9 has a Ctrl Shift Del key sequence to immediately clear cache data, Firefox has HIDDEN it behind menus. BOOOOOOOO on Firefox.

And they are there at every opportunity to steal away someone else's loss. Many have been made homeless and destitute by this who shouldn't be.
I remember, having lived in major cities, real estate agents trying to stretch our small family budget to the limit and when they did not get enough money that way, and for not much of a home really, they would then try to have us tap our parents incomes or savings as well. Most parents cannot afford to support much more than their own home. Some have two or more and then rent and gain their income off of the rents of others. I would say that we should not rent from them at all. The WAR OF ATTRITION, this time the protesters should have a chance to fight back financially. And if the cities are going to remain so expensive than we need to think like pioneers and more to less congested areas and start new enterprises. Or, leave the United States but where to next is the question. So many European countries are having difficulties now too.
As a mature adult who suffered because of lawyers, greedy family, real estate people, divorce, deaths, age, weight gain, and stock market losses or theft in my opinion on that too, I have become very selective with what I do have and what I do with it. I will not teach now the gifted who have so much when I was paid so little. I will not take care of elderly now since with the loss of 16 who I loved and cared for dearly I was left not much after 13 years part-time and full and left with estate theft and losses. And, since it cost me $12,000 for one day to save my life in cardiac care in Washington, D.C., I now have no problem going on Medicaid or receiving Food Stamps. Since the wealthy create the problems, then, let them pay for the recovery of such.
And I am really down on the legal system. It is not equal and fair justice under the law. It is the police servicing the requests and desires of the wealty and elite who pay them. The famous tire and auto chain Les Schwab is beating their chests about "doing the right thing"

 Lets example this "right thing" they are doing.

I knew better, but went to L.S for wheel work, dont recall exactly what it was, may have been tires changed, may have been a vibration (had one that turned out to be driveshaft)

Anyhoo, I was watching one of their kids (tire changers) put lug nuts on with an IMPACT GUN (violation of the FIRSt sacred rule of torquing mechanical assemblies) then he reached for a torque wrench.

"Good" I thought, " maybe Ill see something done right here."

Nope, no such luck, said kid put the socket on the torque wrench, then used it as a BREAKER BAR to tighten the lug nuts by violating one of the first rules of torque wrench use - TIGHTEN IT SLOWLY.

He was yanking up on the end of the wrench as fast and hard as he could, eliminating any value of the torque wrench, indeed, making it  a breaker bar. 

I went home and got out my $450 torque wrench and checked the torques on the wheel, one nut was 140 foot-pounds and a second was 165.

Factory torque on that vehicle is 90, and I set them at 65. There are reasons for less torque, there are limits, I know them, they dont.

I went back and explained what the LS employee had done, and longer story short, they discovered the wheel studs had been damaged. They couldnt figure out how to chase them with a die. So they agreed to replace them.

Said kid went and got a TWO POUND HAMMER AND WAS GOING TO USE IT TO BEAT THE STUDS FROM THE AXLE FLANGE TO REMOVE THEM.

destroying the axle and differential carrier bearings in the process. Theres a problem with bearings such as are found in a differential (this was a rear wheel) - bearings such as this can not take much load unless they are turning. Beating on them with a hammer is instant damage.

An outfit as big as LS should have bought, or made, a simple press to press the studs out, its a real simple design. 

I refused to allow them to do that. I wrote to LS corporate and told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the studs since they were going to improperly remove them. Some arrogant middle management type woman wrote back and told me that was "denied" 

Arrogance on top of incompetence, and DANGEROUS incompetence on top of that.

No, you morons, YOU are denied. Ive bought 3 sets of tires since and YOU didnt sell any of them to me.

Yes, the kid changing the wheels did know how to do it properly, because when I stood over his shoulder and watched him, he used the torque wrench properly.

The problem is L.S pushes these kids to work as fast as possible, ignore the poor work, just get customers in and out quickly and MAKE MORE MONEY .

To f_ with whether they overtighten lug nuts and cause an accident, just get rid of them.

1.) co loses market share and thus no longer has business (customers) for cash flow and becomes insolvent

2.) incompetent management does damage to the business and threatens its existance, but the customer base continues

ITs the second one in play here, and the scam is that somehow sacking the board of directors and upper management will destroy the entire business or industry, and its a straight out lie. Yes, itll destroy THEIR profitability, but sack the board, hire a new one through bankruptcy and reorganization.

Curious how this system was in Governmental and corporate favor when it was, a couple years ago, known as 'corporate raiding and restructuring for profit!"
